SÌ SPOSAITALIA COLLECTION 2024
From April 5th to 8th, Milan will host the prestigious event Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, a trendsetting showcase for bridal gowns, groom attire, ceremony wear, and accessories. Celebrating its fortieth anniversary, this event reaffirms its status as the gravitational center of international bridal fashion, reflecting an all-Italian atmosphere that blends creativity, business, culture, and trends. The illustration created by artist Jacopo Ascari for the 2024 edition aims to highlight the connection between the event and the city of Milan.
An unmissable opportunity to discover the latest trends in the bridal sector and celebrate elegance, creativity, and sustainability in bridal fashion. Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni this year presents dedicated projects such as UNCONVENTIONAL POP-UP, focusing on alternative and refined capsule collections in the bridal&accessories segment. These collections will be showcased in a new exhibition space specifically designed for the modern and contemporary bride’s total look.
Furthermore, the EVENING DRESS AREA will be introduced, exploring trends in evening wear for all occasions, supported by exceptional partners such as IFTA, which has been organizing the IFTA EVENING SHOW for five years.
One of the highlights of this edition will be the bridal upcycling project, promoted by Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni in collaboration with students from the IED Master in Fashion Design. This initiative focuses on sustainability, involving young designers in the creative and production process and will be presented in the showcase area of the fair. In February 2024, Vivienne Westwood said in Milan: “Buy less, choose well, make it last.” This motto perfectly reflects the essence of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni’s new project with IED Milano, which will be an integral part of the event. Upcycling not only promotes sustainability but also changes the production process, with a particular focus on Italian tailoring excellence. Sustainable fashion has become a priority, a true cultural revolution involving even major fashion houses, which are breathing new life into forgotten waste materials. Sì Sposaitalia has long embraced this trend, offering quality content and continuous training for all industry operators, with the aim of amplifying the power of the new generations of creatives.
Not only fashion but also education: Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni offers a range of opportunities that include moments of dialogue and sharing, such as the Coffee Break with Peter Langner, a designer from a maison partnering with the event. A unique moment to reflect on the responsibility of beauty and promote inspiration and value, combining style, innovation, haute couture, and sustainability research.
One of the novelties presented at Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni 2024 is Sposacurvy, the new exclusive collection of size-inclusive bridal gowns. This collection celebrates the beauty of every woman, offering tailor-made dresses that enhance individual forms and reflect each bride’s unique style, allowing every woman to experience her special day with confidence and authenticity.
And as every year, the most important brands in the bridal world will parade at Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni: glamour, style, and elegance, three days of fashion shows for a truly rich and interesting calendar exploring next year’s trends.
